So the worst thing about actually taking that time off is to do so, only to have illness strike, either during or after the vacation. That can turn those memories into bad ones very quickly. However, there are some steps you can take in order to minimize the risk to yourself of coming down with something. For starters, you need to make sure that the place you’re going to doesn’t have requirements or recommendations for any specific travel vaccines. If they do, you need to make sure that you get them well ahead of time.
